About to order new arrows soon and am wondering about which vanes to get.

I will be switching to G5 Stryker broadheads from Rage 2 blade mechanical.

I will be shooting through a Octane Hostage rest.

From the little bit of reading I have done a longer vane like a 4 or 5 inch duravane is better for broadheads than say a 2 inch blazer. Is this correct?

What would you reccomend?

mixed...just started with the blazers last year....sheesh some of you guys change equipment like changing underwear......
Rage two blades to something else?
they have only been in use two years and i love them. I didnt change from muzzys to them for 18 years......i wont be changing from rage anytime soon. I believe it is the best mechanical head on the market and the results are devasting....the photo of the doe just submitted shows the Enty/ not exit would. What broadhead mimics that or does better?
Throw a scapel and you wont do better.

Duravane Fusion all the way.. I shot Blazers for years and don't see switching back anytime..

Im trying the Fusion this year as well. Have used Blazers in the past and have loved them.

I like the stiffness of the Fusion Vanes. Should make for some good fixed blade flight.

I plan to test some Fusion vanes over the winter. I've heard good things about them though.

DD - I'm using the Flash for 3D and FF187s for field/FITA. I planned to try the 360s for hunting this year, but I have two doz+ hunting arrows done up with wraps and Blazers that I can't bring myself to cleaning off to start over.

I don't blame you Jay.

I shot the Fusions quite a bit. I couldn't tell much difference with field points between them & Blazers. Flash were a little better than both Fusions & Blazers out of my Reezen.

I could tell a difference when I started shooting Slick Tricks. I shot the Fusions side-by-side with FFP-360's and could see quite a bit of difference. FFP-360's produced much tighter groups.
