I saw a white Hen tonight. Is that a bird that is mixed with a pen raised turkey or is it an albino like an albino deer? Are they rare? She was with another regular looking hen. I edged up to a field and peeked out from behind a tree and saw what looked to be a giant chicken. I just froze up. I got back into the woods and eased down her way and confirmed it was a white hen. She had some black around her tail feathers and some mixed into her wings. Wildest thing i've seen in a while. wish i had my camera with me i would have snapped some pics.

yes you could shoot it.It is just a color phase in turkey. You can also see black and red colors.

Odd colored birds (white or black) are regulated the same as natural colored ones. Bearded in spring/either-sex in fall.

I took this pic a few years ago of a beautiful silver/white phase hen. Yes, it is a wild turkey, a beautiful bird.
