I think i am sitting this one out. I have not seen many bucks on camera and do not have any bean fields etc. so I am taking the "if I don't know when and where he is coming through, I am not going to pressure him" approach.

August deer don't count lol. In all seriousness good luck to you guys going out. Personally I can't deal with the heat and getting swamp a$$ 10 minutes into the hunt. Plus even with a ThermaCELL the bugs can still be annoying.
127 bucks checked in so far, with only about half of the 95 counties reporting a kill. 1-3 killed in most counties reporting, Marion/McNairy/Sumner at 7 and Wilson leading the pack at 10 bucks checked in today, all morning kills. 7-10 bucks with archery tackle (minus McNairy that is gun) on a hot/humid August morning is somewhat surprising to me. More than I would have ever thought.

Buddy of mine shot a 143 inch deer this afternoon. I pulled 3 ticks off of me when I got home. All I did was pick the rack up a time or two! Lol

300 total today. 299 bucks and 1 doe in Shelby county. I'm surprised with how hot and humid it was today.

Ditto, especially the morning kill numbers. I saw a few nice bucks last night that guys had texted me from across the State. One guy shot a bruiser midday, stayed on stand until he presented himself and sealed the deal.
Went this morning, nothing in range…..was a great morning!
All I saw this morning was a hen turkey. But I did bet to go down to the range and verify my new handloads are good to go. No I wasn't hunting with them without verifying. I have 3 rounds left out of the last ones that a buddy loaded. The new ones are all mine, and based on how many I usually shoot a year, I should be good for about 20 years.
I hate that when you make a statement you have to be prepared for someone to second guess you before you even submit it.
Just being on the safe side.
