Who starts and do we get the W?

I'd start Maurer. JG is comfortable coming off of the bench, and we need to not get down early.

I'd say first to 20 wins this game. Maybe we can get some TOs or win the special teams battle.

I'm not too confident though.
 
First to 20 is a pretty good prediction I believe. We are not known to come out and put up many points early.

This is a very tough road game for our Vols.
Our defense will need to play very solid to give us a chance. Not because their O is going to light it up but because our O isn't going to have big stats against their D.
Their defense is going to pressure our qb a lot so I hope BM gets the start

This has been the type of game the vols have disappointed me in going back to Dooley now.

have a chance to win 6 outta 7 games finish on a real high note put the horrible ugly Georgia st, BYU game in the past, and somewhat save a bad season.

Knowing them they will get beat by 2tds.

JG gets the start I'm going to guess.

And we were right, he sucked big time, and gave away any chance of us upsetting you all, here lately he has improved

I think he starts BM but has him on a short leash. If he isn't producing I don't think he makes it to halftime.

This one worries me. Missouri will try to win this one by as many as possible.

Coming off a bye, I think we play well. Should be a great game. Vols by 7.

My thoughts exactly. Vols definitely been playing better as of late but still too much about this game to make me nervous. Hopefully we've rested up some during the open date. Heard on the 24/7 podcast that Bryce Thompson wasn't moving around very well.

Don't know who I'd start. I think JP will legitimately go with whoever has looked better in practice or whoever they think they can game better against Mizzou Defense. Would expect to see both 18 & 2 though. For a complete cop out I'd say run Jennings out of wildcat on first offensive play...not because I'm superstitious, but I am a little stitious...

Last time I expected Vols to run and shorten the game they put up 41 on SC. Granted the special teams TDs accounted for 14 but we still threw the ball a lot. Weather is looking pretty good and the O/U is 45.5. Hard to take the over unless mizzou turns back into the team people expected them to be. I could see both teams getting into the 20s, but I'll go with Vols being on the upswing & tigers on the down swing.

No joke? I have admitted as UT fans we often lack rationality, but how can anyone that's watched this team this year not had conflicting thoughts on JG? He's played that poorly and played that well. It's odd, sure, but it's warranted.

And for the record I, and several folks I know, never wanted to "crucify" him... it was more in the vein of being dumbfounded to a big time regression under a much better OC.
 
I think he may go ahead and start JG and will stay with him until he throws another stupid interception.

I think the MO defense is too tough for the Vols to score enough to win. I'm afraid it will come down to a dog fight with Vandy to make it to a bowl.

Listen, I respect your opinion, but I'm tired of you always being a negative Nancy. You're sucking the enthusiasm out of my positive threads :D !

If we do lose, and then somehow lose to Vandy, he's done. The recruiting class would tank further, and there would be no recovery. Of course, we'd still be stuck with him, but the purgatory would continue for the foreseeable future.

Vandy is playing horrible this year. Mason just got the nod he gets to keep his job. I think this one will come down to who wants the W the most. Going to be a ugly game to watch no matter what.

I would say JG, and like you Steve, I think Mizz defense is good enough to win a close one. Mizz 24 Vols 20
