Why Florida Gator Fans

does Florida play only Florida St each year,that is just a rivalry instate game.Why doesn't Florida play Oregon for example or UCLA or Oklahoma or Virginia Tech or West Virginia,just few of the teams that Tennessee plays.I know its been over forty years since the gators have played on the west coast,probably been that long since they played in the north also!!!Are you skeered? :rotf:

Only reason that UT was big on scheduling west coast teams durning the Fulmer era was because UT needed exposure to be able to recruit West Coast kids. That's just the cards UT are dealt since the State of TN is not a hot bed for H.S. recruits. FL doesn't have that problem or the need.

FL plays FSU every year is because that is their biggest rival. FSU is just as tough as any of those West Coast teams.

I guess you wonder why UTs biggest instate rival is Vandy.

When you look at strenght of schedule after all games have been played and calculate. UF has had the tougher schedule durning this last decade.

So your saying Vols just play on the west coast for just recruiting purposes,I believe the Vols could have played some easier teams than Oregon and UCLA for that reason.How about the Vols playing Oklahoma,they are a southwest team,are the Vols playing them just for recruiting also.The Vols play Virginia Tech next year,they are a east coast team,are Vols just playing them for recruiting reasons .Gator,your recruiting theory don't hold water,it boils down to Tennessee will play teams from anywhere in the country and Florida won't.Wouldn't you like to see Florida play teams from around the country instead of just playing Southern teams? oke:

Considering that these games are schedule years in advance. No one knows how good these teams will be 2 years down the road. Good example would be VT because they are not very good now. Sooners ended up being a bust from the #4 ranking last season.

UT schedules one known name non-conference game each year and the rest of their non-conference games are weak. No different than the rest of the teams.

And none of those teams on avg. have been better than FSU and FL has still beat UT 10 years in a row.

Y'all did win. You beat up our 4th string QB. I'm a TN fan ,but Vols wouldn't have beat Weinke,or Kendra or Jones. Marcus Outzen was easy.

I like the pic of your Bronco II GnB. I remember when you first finished it and posted it on the general forum. I inslall and cut glass in new and old trucks,worked on a lot of those.
