I shot at one of y'all's 3D shoots about a month ago. It was a good shoot, but I got eaten alive by chiggers and it was hotter'n a four-balled tomcat. I think the oppressive heat is a factor. The main reason for lack of interest is lack of notice. If it weren't for this website, I would not have known about it. With Shelby Forest, Everything Archery, and Avery, as well as Bass Pro, here in Memphis,I would use them to help get the word out. I'm not criticizing, I'm just saying why I think there are not as many participants. Also, I don't think people know what a typical 3D shoot is. I know I envisioned audiences watching me shoot when in reality, it's nothing like that unless it's a big-time shoot for pros. I thought y'all had nice targets and realistic situations, but I would have loved to see some longer shots. My buddy has a little course in his backyard and he has really mixed it up with some close shots and longer shots. Some of his targets are at known distances and some are 3D. This makes it fun and it never gets boring or stale. Use some creativity and I think word will spread. Check out Bowcast at the Bird and see what they have done. Not to say you have to have crazy 100 yard mountainous terrain shots, but give folks something different and they will be more likely to come out. JMHO.
