A lot of great pics posted over the years of bucks but with no explanations of why they were where they were or traveling where the pics were taken. A scrape pic is pretty self explanatory but it would be neat to know why a camera was placed where it was to get some of these great pics. It would benefit everyone fooling with cameras and especially those just getting started.

This was taken in early October. The deer were all moving at night. It had been too warm for me to bother hunting. I placed this camera across a logging road at my Humphrey's County farm (Wife's family's actually) and dropped a trophy rock on the opposite side of the road. I did not see any sign really, I just knew deer loved to use this logging road to transition from bedding to browse. I have pictures of this buck and a couple of other nice ones on that road. I face my cameras North and South to help prevent whiteouts and it helps. I also lock this one to the tree with a cable lock and an overwatch camera hidden across from it. I heard a shot in that direction while I was setting up my camper for deer camp this year. Someone may have been indoctrinating their child on the age old family tradition of trespassing and poaching. I had to be at work so I left.

I just put a camera up Saturday over a spot i have not hunted in about 4 yrs. It's a trail that is right on the line of my property and my non-hunting neighbors property that comes out of our woods and across a creek and into the other neighbors crop field. Also put a lock-on about 75 yards from this trail. I placed the camera there to see if it is still getting used like it always has been.

I need to put more of these cheap Easycams out along trails. Especially now that I'm not putting corn down anymore. I can't put them around acorns because the property is almost entirely covered in oaks. I have yet to see a good rub on me, but the neighbor had a really good one.
