I want to get your opinion on the Wicked Ridge Invader. Cabelas has it on sale right now for $499.

It comes with:

TenPoint 3x Milti-Lines scope
Integrated ACU-52 self retacting rope cocking system
Wicked Ridge quiver
Three Wicked Ridge aluminum bolts
Embroidered sling

Most of the reveiws I have read are pretty good.

Thanks, I ordered it a few minutes ago. It should be here in roughly a week.

It has been a long time (20+ years) since I have touched any type of bow. Needless to say broadheads have improved dramatically. I have been looking at the Rage, Swhacker, and Wasp broadheads online. From what I have read the mechanical seem to fly similar to the field points. Does this sound right? What would you guys recommend?

I love the Nap Spitfire maxx broadheads. 1 3/4 inch cut..No rubber bands or O rings..Just a good ol fashioned spitfire. They leave tennis ball sized exit holes.

If i dont buy the Horton Ultra Lite after the first of the yr my next option will be the Wicked Ridge. Ive had my eye on the Horton for 2yrs now just hadnt coughed up the money yet. I will buy something around January though.

BTW, go ahead and order some extra bolts - nothing worse than having a bad practice session and destroying 2 of your 3 bolts when you plan to be in the woods the next day. I ordered some from Buy.com I think, OEM bolts like $36 for 6 of them with field points.

If you get an expandable broadhead for it be 100% positive that they are crossbow rated. Your warranty will be void if you shoot a non crossbow rated expandable. I personally would shoot the Grim Reaper X-Bow Edition.

Never heard of that, but it makes sense. With that said,Tenpoint does reccomend NAP Spitfires.

I received it in the mail a couple of days ago and plan to take it out to a friends house tomorrow to shot it for the first time. I also picked up a Morrells Yellow Jacket target. I can't wait to shoot it!!!

I picked up the Spitfire Maxx broadheads. They have a $10 rebate on them right now so that kinda pursuaded me to start eith them.

Much to my disappointment my friend backed out today so I didn't get to shoot. I really dislike living in northern VA due to its limited hunting/shooting opportunities. OK, I don't much care for the traffic or taxes either.

I need to find a job in Huntsville or Nashville.

Hopefully I can shoot it this week.

I made it to my friends house to shoot for the first time and I am very impressed. It was pretty windy today, but it groups very well. Hopefully the next time I get out it won't be as windy so I can dial it in a little better.

From what all I have read I expected the vibration and sound to be worse than what it is. I'll probably still get the noise/ vibration damping kit, but I am very happy.

Thanks for all your inputs.

Went out this afternoon and here is my results.

I am pretty happy with the results. But I need some recommendation on a jig, glue and whatever else is needed to replace fletching. Three of my new arrows the fletching are very warped due to passing through the bag.

I appreciate your help.
