Had this wide 7 point on camera. Not much mass, but he could be a dandy next year. He'd have probably got shot if I saw him this year. :)

He bedded down right in front of the camera.

I love to see those top-end youngsters. :)
Be nice to see him survive to 4 1/2, but the odds of that are usually extremely low in most of TN, for any top-end 2 1/2 to even survive the current deer season.

Should he survive this year, so many people will know about him (and all it really takes is one hunter knowing), that he'll become specifically targeted and heavily hunted next year.

Good luck with however you decide to handle your opportunity. :)

He is wide but he looks like an 8 to me. Hope it makes it and you get to play with him next year.

You're right. I found another picture of him. He's an 8. I had one pic where I would have bet my house that he was a 7...

Doubt he's going to be much bigger next year. He's already mature... Deer like that on my farms don't really add much with another year.

Maybe, maybe not.

Mature buck.
I don't see enough with those pics to make that determination. :)
I'd give it 50/50 he's 3 1/2, but do agree he COULD be older.

But he COULD be a very "top-end" 3 1/2 (at least in terms of mainframe width).
Should that be the case, would expect him to gain considerable mass over the next year or two.
