Wife's great idea

If you have a Sprouts grocery store near you, their bacon in the butcher display is the best grocery bacon I've ever had. Even full price, it's $7/lb. It doesn't shrink up or leave a wet puddle of brine water in your skillet. Even Wright's is mostly water weight now.
We don't have fancy options up here on the "plataw" unfortunately :)

I've even found that Kroger's meat counter bacon is at least on par with Wrights, at a significantly better price.
I have a guy that keeps hogs that we buy from on occasion. It's high but worth it. Wright is what the wife likes. I'm pretty partial to the food lion store brand. I prefer a thinner cut for versatility.

We buy Costco brand mostly. But when we go to Rusty's Butcher shop (Rossville Blvd., Rossville GA), their bacon is the best. You can smell the smoke from it while it's still in the display case.
