I had a Wildgame IR4 with an infrared lens issue. I Emailed customer service and was told to do a "Re-boot" procedure. I removed all of the batteries as instructed let it sit but the issue remained (IR lens stuck in off position). I was then given an RMA number, bought a flat rate USPS box and shipped it back. Two weeks later I received a different used camera that had been repackaged and repaired with a new warranty card. The replacement camera seems to work so I give Wildgame a "Thumbs Up" for their warranty service.
I am still searching for a red flash camera that does stills and videos for around a hundred bucks that is reliable. My Scoutguard SG 550-v (HCO gets a thumbs up for out of warranty service) and one of my Wildgame IR4 cams have both been sent back now. I've been happy with the service but when they are out of warranty the cost for the repair, shipping both ways and time lost makes it almost worth while just to buy a new one.
This year I may pick up one new camera. Is there a camera that anybody swears by that I should consider? Something between $100.00-$150.00? I am very careful with all of them and store them in cool dry places but so far they just don't hold up. Does Honda or Toyota make a trail cam?!
