Well I should've listened to ya'll. I have a WGI IR6 thats 9 mos old and sensor range is 5 ft on it now; it was better but getting whiteout pics alot and after pulling batteries to reset camera, lost the sensor range. Now my white strobe flash 6,thats 3 mos old, is taking black pics at night, no strobe flash I'm guessing. Sent the IR6 back and they've still got it. Any advice on cause of black out pics? I'd like to have one camera few more weeks before sending it back.

i bought 2 wgi, 3 tascos (3 different models- one 4d white flash, one small 4 c white flash, and one small 3 c IR) and a moultrie. the tascos are working perfectly, the rest are dead. tascos for me from now on. 37.00 from ebay

Yep, sorry to hear of your bad WGI cameras, one I bought in late September, a 69 dollar bargain, IR to boot, works fine. took 411 pictures on bunch of dollar store batteries. It needs a faster trigger speed but other than that, I think it be fine.

Have two that around 4 years old, starting to have issues with them not powerng up. Discovered one had leaking backup batteries. Going to try to clean it up, the other started working aging with brand new batteries, not the rechargables I have been using.
I'm being told by the "Master" that I am lucky they have lasted this long.

Yes, you are. Normally, you are lucky to get WGI cams to last a single season.

My very first Wildgame can from 07 finally died this season... And several others have continued working fine... Guess it is hit or miss.

And that's true of EVERY brand of Chinese made camera. You might get a good one and you might get a lemon. The only difference between brands is the percent that are lemons.

Got two, two years ago on the WalMart closeout aisle for $20 a piece. One is working like a champ. I started noticing the other not getting any pics at the placement but will take them when I check it (yes there's deer there). Perhaps the sensor range is going bad on it????

The first WG IR4 I bought lasted about 2 seasons, it was my 1st camera ever and it was great! Since then I have bought 2 more and they are junk, I wont buy another one! I guess it is hit or miss, some have great luck and are bad! But then again I'm not spending $300 to have a camera stolen in the woods so I will stick with the cheap cameras!!

Cameras are way down in price. Other than a Reconyx or BuckeyeCam, you won't find many Chinese made cams--even the best of them--for over $250, and most of the better ones can be bought for $200 or less.
