Wildgame innovations X6c

I have been looking all over for reviews on these and haven't found but 2 that said worked good at day photos decent night but slower trigger speed.

Positives: pictures are decent but not great. Flash range is farther than advertised.

Negatives: slow trigger speed (but not terrible). Short sensing distance (how far away the target animal can be and still trigger the camera).

BSK is there any difference in the IR4 and the X6c other than the size? Is the IR4 have the same trigger speed and sensing distance?

No, although sold under the same brand name, the IR4 and X6 are different cameras made by different manufacturers. Very different technology and internal guts.

Hard to say at this point. The testing of the X6 has just begun while the IR4 is a better known quantity.

I just got my x6c in yesterday and plan on putting it out later today. My first impressions are that it is very small (much smaller than my old Cuddeback NoFlash). Seems to be very simple to program and retrieving pictures seems to be very easy. Now the big question is how it'll do in the woods. Hopefully, I'll have a few pics to post in a week or so.

That's the IR4. You can get the cam alone (without the external battery) for around $80. It really doesn't need the external battery. Internal batteries will last more than a month.

Thanks, do you use rechargables?

Only on cameras that require them. Some black-flash cameras require high amp-hour rechargeable batteries to power the flash.

I know you have covered it before but which wgi cam in the ir do you recommend for best price to features ratio?

Seems like it would be more cost effective to get the rechargable battery pack with it?

Over the long haul, ABSOLUTELY.

Just found this out about WGI cams. The 2009 model IR4 and the 2010 model IR4 were made by different companies. That's why the 2010 model IR4 is so much improved over the 2009 model.

In addition, the same company makes the both the IR4 and X6.
