Will they return after being spooked?

I came up to a field accidentally spooked out two hens and a gobbler. Came around the opposite edge and set up. Am I foolish to think they might come back out?

Probably not today, but who knows with turkeys.

They may or may not but you most likely educated them a bit when you set up and called after spooking them. Sometimes it's best to just chalk it up as a boogered bird and leave it at that.

Just move on to another spot. Dont call after u spooked them...unless you're hunting in the Fall.

I missed the one I killed and called him back 45 minutes later with his hen. Missed one yesterday in VA and he didn't come back lol. I've had good luck with spooked birds tho. Just give em time to start on their own. Like everything else turkey hunting sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't

Only mistake may have been calling after you spooked them, however I've killed several after bumping the group and sitting down and waiting for them to start talking. When they start call and killed the long beard

Good news is turkeys get spooked all the time. Don't sweat it, we all spook birds
