Who has tried them? I bought some yesterday at academy. For the price diff compared to Hevi I hope they perform as well. My concern is that they are advertised to kill at 60 yards..... Maybe on paper.... But real world situations I bet there will be a lot of missed/crippled birds. I plan on pattering them Monday after I hunt with Hevi. Thoughts?

What size shot you get? They pattern great from what i've seen, but I fear people are going to see how well the 6s pattern and then attempt to shoot them further that a lead 6 pellet can consistently kill energy wise.

I am shooting them, and they are FANTASTIC!

Using a Mossberg 835 with polished barrel and a SumToy choke. 3.5" #5s, throws a tight, tight pattern.
Put on a Burris FastFire III to ensure accuracy, but still going to limit shots to 30-40 yards max.

The only problem is finding them. No place in Middle TN/Northern AL had them. Was working in Phoenix and snagged a couple boxes at Cabelas.

I switched from magblends to them. I'm shooting 3 1/2" 5's out of an 870 with kicks gobbling thunder .665 choke. This pattern is at 40 yards. Killed a bird Good Friday at 35 yards and he dropped in his tracks. I wouldn't knowingly shoot one at 60 though.

I know the 3" 5s are 1 shot kills out to 47 and 40 yds....both birds were true jelly heads after the shots

Yep.
One at 20yds was decapitated. Red dot was on the head, but with the vertical offset above the bore line, the shot went right into the neck.

I have a box of 3.5 5 shot and patterned them at 45. they shoot good. I am currently shooting 3" mag blend and have a bunch left, as I bought 4 boxes before the longbeard came out, but for the price, I will probably switch.

I will be shooting 3 inch #4s out of a benelli m1 super 90 and a promos jelly head. I have been shooting Hevi 3 inch #5

Ive taken five birds so far, all with the 3-1/2 5s. Longest shot has been 40yds. All died. They pattern good out of my Benelli sbe2, with a terror tube, 655 con. Really cant tell a lot of difference, dead is dead. Even though they do pattern well, I still don't want to shoot past 50yds. For the price, I guess they are a good shell.

Agree 100% tickweed...great shell but dead is dead. I've had a chance to "field test" as well. All thumbs up.

Folks might even want to consider some sort of aiming device other than a bead, goto a more open choke, or kill'em before they get too close. The pattern is so tight it would be EASY to miss in tight quarters.

By far the best lead load I have ever shot !! Be careful not to let birds get to close it is sure easy to miss !! (Speaking from experience) I shoot the 3.5" 5s put of a jelly head 650 and they are wicked at 40 yards they are putting 250-260 pellets in a 10" circle
