WINCHESTER SX3 20 GA NWTF CANTILEVER TURKEY GUN

I felt the same way, until I picked up that little 20 ga Weatherby. :D

I continue to prefer a conventional stock for wing-shooting and general shotgunning. But on a turkey gun, it's much easier to hold the gun steady for long periods with these "non-conventional" stocks, such as when you need to have your gun shouldered for sometimes several minutes patiently waiting and unable to move without being seen.

And,yes, with the right loads, today's 20 gauges greatly exceed the capabilities of yesterday's 12 gauges when the standard turkey load used lead pellets. It's so nice to be running & gunning with something weighing little more than a hiking stick. Even the extra shells you carry in your pocket weigh less and take up less space.

This 20ga Winchester SX3 is a nice looking gun, but to me, going with it kinda totally defeats the main reasons for going to a 20 ga. It's a very heavy 20 ga, not much lighter than the 12.
