Hunt fields and try to stalk within 100 yards or so of the birds then call them to you.

Now 9 out of 10 days the wind has hit 30 mph or higher at my house (price to pay for living on a hill close to the mountains). I watched turkeys strutting in a field just like it was calm, with the exception of their fan getting blown around. If anything they moved around a little more. Bothers hunters more than turkeys.
