Anybody else annoyed by the winds this year. I am annoyed a lot through the years but Seems like this year way worse then others the winds are just not anywhere close to true for what they predict. Wind speeds not close to right. Very annoying. I hate weather people but it sure seems worse then normal.

I thought it was just me, I can't recall a time in the last month that the wind was actually blowing in the direction they were predicting. Also I can't remember a season where the winds have swirled on me as bad as they have this year.

Exactly !!! I was wondering if it was just me . Get set up then the wind is different. I know its been messing my sightings up .

Yep - seems it's never as predicted. Even on the ridge tops high up in a tree. Of course it never is in the bottoms unless it's directly north or south for us (that's the directions they run).

Why I've got a weather station at camp. It's more accurate for locale than apps.

I may ask for one of those for Christmas. What kind do you have and do you like it? I want one that connects to WiFi so I can see in real time when I'm not there

The other day i got in a stand with a NNW predicted wind. I knew it would not be ideal if the deer came from my left side, but I expected them to come out 200 yds away across the powerline. I got up there and the wind was blowing SSW, which actually works really well for the stand. I was happy about it, but i have had other times where it is off and I have had to adjust.

Get an Ambient. Once connected to Wi-Fi, you can see every other Ambient station in the world. You'll find dozens in your area.
