After seeing JayMc's strings today I need a set! The strings that come with my Parker bow are marginal at best. The buss cable is getting chewed up pretty quick. Any good shops locally carry Winner's Choice or will I have to order online and have shop install.

probably get a shop to order them for u to make sure you get the right set. when mine go im getting me some vapor trails strings.

Winner's Choice strings are good strings with low creep . Have a local proshop order and install one for you when your string wears out .
If you keep your current string waxed , you should be able to get a season or two out of it . Some fraying of the fibers is normal . I don't replace mine unless it has a cut strand or has stretched too far to get it twisted back into spec.

I don't claim to be an expert, but your cable does not look good. It had a lot of wax on it too.

If you have it replaced have the tech look hard at the cam to make sure there isn't a burr wearing the serving and also look at the cable guard.

I would not just replace the cable. If you are going to have somebody do the work you might as well get your full money's worth.

Does the Parker have two cables and a string or one cable with a long string?

It has a 90.25" string and 33.75" buss cable. I took the floss to the string tonight and removed some of the excess wax. The string is definately fraying in the spot close to the cable guard. I looked up www.thebowrack.com and saw the tan and green Winner's Choice look fine. I hope it is not the cam causing the problem. That will mean a trip to Parker if so. Thanks for your help Jay.

Winners Choice is a very good manufacturer. If you are sure the wear is from friction and not as burr, Then I would go ahead and replace both at the same time. If you think it is from a burr then just replace the cable.

The fraying is on the string. When the bow is not drawn, the fraying is close to the cable guard. The buss cable is fine.

Sorry bout that UTG. I would just replace the string if it is fraying the string fibers. If it is fraying the serving then just get it reserved. Does your bow have a roller cable guard? If so I would get the area that runs through the roller served. If not once you replace the string watch it closely, if it starts to fray as soon as this one did either get a different cable slide or have the cable served.
