6-15, 90 yards 0Tds, 1 interception, Sacked 4 times. QB rating 32 WOW.

Didn't watch the game, But this is what An article I just read says :tu:

"There were a couple of instances in which Winston locked on to receiver Vincent Jackson. Cleveland's defense keyed on those and nearly made the No. 1 overall pick pay. At other times, Winston simply made bad throws into coverage".

"Perhaps he was rattled"

"Staring his receivers down, hanging out in the pocket too long, throwing into double coverage"

"Winston could have been picked off three or four times.
Against the Browns, the former Florida State star simply failed under fire"

my hatred for winston is well documented. it stems from the things i believe he did off the field. however, even if he was a choir boy salt of the earth kinda feller....it still would have been crazy to draft him so early. His game has too many flaws. he has always been a turnover machine, even against college skill level players (which couldn't hold a candle to the skill level of the NFL). He doesn't have a qb body, other than being tall. constantly out of shape, which shows that he isn't serious about his craft. 21.5% body fat is unforgivable for a skill position player. one of the slowest qb's in the league to boot. But his biggest issue, other than his cockiness, is his elongated delivery. he has one of the slowest releases in the game. That gives defenders plenty of time to jump the routes and intercept. They praised his arm, but the ball doesn't seem to jump off his hand. I looked his velocity at the combine and his near the bottom, and yes, below mariota in the category as well (i can't post the link if you would like to see it baddnole). I know he is a competitor and played on a great college team, but he is in the league where everyone has talent and their are no community colleges on the schedule. I know it is only preseason, but he continues to turn the ball over with frightening regularity. Drafting Winston is gonna cost a lot of folks their job.

Hope the titans took note how how Winston did under pressure, since they play each other in week 1.

Here is a few more quotes from Foxsports/Espn on how he played Saturday.

" Winstons O-line looked like a wet papper towel"

" If his first read was not open he panicked, and made bad throws"

" Winston will see A lot of defensive pressure after Teams see how he handle it"

"This was the closest thing to a real game his played In the Nfl so far, And Winston flat out looked Awful"

Wow!!! You'd think all those NFL scouts, draft experts and analysts would have noticed the same things you did from your couch.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After three preseason games, Marcus Mariota is still in search of his first touchdown.

The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback and second overall draft pick didn't complete his first pass until the second quarter of the Titans' 34-10 loss to the Chiefs on Friday night at Arrowhead Stadium, as Tennessee's starters, playing on a short week, were dominated by Kansas City.

Funny isn't it. Try replacing Mariota's name with Jameis and Tennessee with Tampa Bay and the story is EXACTLY the same!!!

I didn't watch Titans game, could this story from the Tennessee paper be true? Looks like the Titans made their field goal. Maybe both have room to grow

Lol mariota threw for more yards (100), completed more passes, on less attempts (7-11), Rushed for 20yards, 0 turnovers, 1 sack. QBR 93!

Mariota played a much Much better game :tu:

He did at that Donkey. There is a reason the Bucs got the first pick and the Titans the second. I hope Titans coach plays Mariota for at least a Quarter vs the Vikings. Winston needs more play also. Pre season almost over, then the fun begins. Winston will be in intensive care before the season is over if Smith doesn't get an offensive line . :tu:

He knows who is the better qb. Maybe going number 2 in the draft was a gift.

Mr. redblood you should go back and check the turn over machine named Winston. Make sure to check all years. Yes he had many when playing with the true freshmen last year. Also had one of the best in college history as a freshman and won the NC...Drafting Winston will help Smith keep his job. LOL ,how many turnovers for Winston? I'm trying to gauge what frightening regularity means.

Titans first string O-Line has really played well Last two games.

Yes they did Give up 1 sack Friday night, Justin Houston, The NFL sack leader last season who had 22 last year :tu:

Run game is a big problem, has been Since Chris Johnson's early years were over, ole CJ2k.

Yup.
Looks like bucs fans think the same way.

He knows only two qbs on his list is comparable... Josh Freeman and Jason Campbell

Winston in 3 preseason games has a pass Complication rate of around 49'/, Bad :tu:

Mariota in 3 Preseason games has a pass compilation rate a little over 70'/, Very good :tu:

So out of 1584 votes 485 Gators don't want Winston, and 338 Noles do.Wow ,this is a great sampling. No wonder Obama won twice.---This is a Gator town ,I would expect no less. Nice one mudbone.

And fat boy has run for 2 TD's .Bucs 1-2 and Titans 1-2. How is the great Mariota on his scores?--Passing? Running?... I think I will wait for the season to get going.
