Going for the first time this year in the morning. Tired of waiting to get a day off from work, so I'm just going to for the first 45 minuets of light. One of my neighbors has heard one a few times, and I have a good idea from years past where he might be. Be in the woods at least...the itch is getting fierce!

Not even a roost gobble. At least I ended up at work on time. I have confidence that most every bird that was on my farms to start the season are still there according to land owners, so if I can ever get a day off...

Monday and Tuesday morning at a farm I hunted in KY had zero roost gobbles, the barometric pressure was also below 29.7. I recently read that gobbling drastically drops if pressure is at or below that.

Do you know what the pressure was this morning?

I didn't hear a single roost gobble today either. Only thing worse than that is getting rained on and we got the storms coming tonight...

Good luck

Guess that makes 3 of us. There were 3 toms using the field I hunted this morning earlier in the week and I saw some hens this morning, so that leads me to believe the toms weren't too far off but just didn't gobble this morning.
