I killed one and called another in for a buddy last year. This was in Smyrna by the NG base. Are you talking about Poole Knobs?

Go on weekdays if you can.
 
I've never been on it in Lavergne but have in areas around Smyrna. I live very close to parts and there are birds. Just need to hit the not so easy areas to get to. As for the National Guard base I wish I could hunt in there. Seen some nice bucks and big gobblers behind that fence.

good to know that the hunting is ok i was looking at area 1 in la vergne. you can only hunt it weekdays until april 30th so i figure the pressure wont be to bad around there and its got some places that are not very easy to get to
 
I hunted it on opening day (on the Monday after statewide opener) 2 years ago, most crowded spot I've ever hunted. Was working a bird and a guy started shooting at it at about 70 yards up to 100 plus yards and pushed it right to me. My son killed it at about 30 yards. He can running up to it and said "I know I hit him". You might have but we killed him. He said, can I get a picture with him. Unbelivable.
