WMAs near Martin

Anybody got info on good turkey spots near Martin? My son goes there and I was thinking maybe he and I could take a Saturday hunt in the area.

does it reach all the way to Martin? That's a ways away from the Mississippi River.

Click on the map in this link and it will show you what's open to hunt. There are 3 wmas southwest of Martin that looks open to me.

Just make sure you read the hunting guide before you go and shoot one opening day on a WMA near Martin. You will have the woods to yourself for sure :tu:

They've delayed the opening of many/most west TN WMAs by two weeks for the last 2-3 years. I don't think it's based on the MS river.

Whoever this "They" is, I wish "they" would do this statewide.

I really don't know of any public land for turkey hunting that is both near Martin and good.
Your best bet may be Natchez Trace WMA.
