Any body else from here hunt there this past weekend? Just wondering if it was as dead for you as it was me. Friday I heard maybe 10 gobbles from 3 different birds, 1 across the river, 1 across the road where someone else was parked, and 1 a far piece to the south where another hunter had walked. That was it, nothing Saturday or Sunday. I only saw 1 turkey, a hen, 50 yards from my truck Saturday.

I was there. Went Friday morning and heard one gobble that sounded like it was near the TWRA station. Of course not close enough to me to chase. Nothing close to me. About 10 went to one of the large fields and got close to one gobbling but had a hen between us. never saw either but as soon as they got closer they shut up. Saturday called in a hen. Then at 9 went back to the large field. tried slipping around a woodline to peak in the field and got busted. he was maybe 40 yds from me with 2 hens. did not have time to get gun up. just got to watch that funny turkey run. did not go Sunday. considering how tough it was did get close twice.

I was in a gray ford contour this past weekend. Deer season I drive a green explorer with a rack on the back. Well at least 4 people got shots. hopefully in 2 years I will get another crack at them
