Finally fired down on one!!! Turkeyburd has done it once again. Stopped by his house to pick up my boots I had left in his truck, and ended up scouting fields for birds. Came across this ole boy around the river bottom and it was on. Turkeyburd had this bird's number from the word go. He explained the gameplan and he was to drop me off at one end of the field, and I was to work my way through the woods to a group of trees Turkeyburd was sure they were gonna roost in. By the way, this fella was all alone with about 16 hens!! I went on my way, and he made sure this joker didn't escape the opposite direction. I made it up to the fieldline where they were feeding and only had to wait about 30 minutes and the boss hen led him within 55 yards from me. Boom. 55 yard shot,10 3/4" beard, 1 1/4" hooks, and only 18 pounds!?! Thanks Turkeyburd!!! Ole Spit is on deck!

Congrats Ed Lover. Thats a great burd! Just to let you know, I had a shot on him but let him walk. Thats what friends are for. The only reason is that I know you wont forget me during duck season. lol

Nice job RNT glad you could connect, and also that you are now a honorary member of the woodpile. There is a whole bunch of people who wish they could be LOL!

Turkeyburd when you get ready to go duck hunting let us know me and jeremy will come home from arkansas and carry you to fuzzy's Timberhole. you might even be able to kill a few barn yard breeders.
