Ken headed back to the White this past Thursday morning.
I couldn't go..... again.....
Anyway, he drained his boat from all the rain the other day and he used a handyman jack to raise it WAY up to get it all out.
Unknowingly to him, at the same time he put quite a bit of water into his "drybox" at the rear of the boat.
I guess it went in the hole where the wires and stuff go out to his cmc and outboard.
Thursday morning it was cold and he noticed his motor was trimmed all the way up.
He thought that was odd so he went and tried to lower it.
Nadda.
Guess the water tripped the relay.
Choices were wait till Union City marine opened or head out.
He headed out and called either White Hole or Gastons one and asked who they used for repairs etc.
Went to their suggestion and stopped there and bought a new relay.
Went to the parking lot and installed it himself, still nothing.
They came out and determined the water tripped the relay, raised the motor and kept trying to raise it and burt the motor up in the cmc.
They didn't speak very highly of the cmc but had enough parts to fix it.
SEVERAL hundred dollars later he got on the water.
All I can say is OUCH.
