Wild, I did not know that the world record for a nontypical was held for TWO YEARS, right here in TN! Here is the county (Sumner County) for those that do not know where it is:
and the BRUTE:
Of note, the Boone and Crockett nontypical world records for white tail (Odocoileus virginianus) that are bigger than the TN buck are the following:
#1) Road kill "Pick up" buck, the famed "Missouri Monarch":
Score: 333 7/8
Location: Missouri
Year: 1981
* of note, it remains property of the state of Missouri on display for all its citizens to see.
#2) Ohio "pick up" buck, the famed "Hole-in-the-Horn" buck:
Score: 328 2/8
Location: Ohio
Year: 1940
#3) Luke Brewster (This is currently the LARGEST buck ever taken by a HUNTER, #1 and #2 are actually pick up bucks, this guy is #1 and was taken via archery.
Score: 327 7/8
Location: Illinois
Year: 2018
I will say, it is pretty neat the #4 , or #2 world record via an actual hunt is here in Tennessee!
