I had the privilege of guiding for a soldier on our annual Wounded Warrior hunt. The weather wasn't ideal and the birds weren't talking much, but we got it done by 7:15. This was the first turkey hunt for this soldier and he got spoiled! I told him this isn't how it normally happens.

We had 13 Wounded Warriors and several disabled hunters. The Pine Mountain Longbeards branch did an excellent job as they do every year. It was a great event and I got to meet Brenda Valentine and Walter Parrot, two turkey hunting legends.

Here's a picture of my hunter with his bird:

That's wonderful! My brother is able to take a soldier each spring something I hope to participate in someday.
Thank you for taking him.

You should have given me a holler since I was there and hunted in the morning. Didn't see a thing, but had a great time. Brenda Valentine was privileged to sit across from me during lunch, and no I did not give her my autograph. :). The birds did not cooperate, but everyone had a great time

That's a great thing ya'll do. I hunt with soldiers all of the time. Of course I live by Fort Campbell but it's always special to hunt with a soldier.
