Really wish I had been wrong about the prices of components, but glad I have been able to buy what I have as I could. Some self proclaimed "experts" have said prices will come back down and settle out somewhere in the $50-$60 range for standard primers, afraid we won't see those days again, at least not online. Inflation has driven up the costs of everything.

Rarely do I mistake a mistake or discover I was wrong about something.😅 I made a mistake in investing a bunch of money in reloading equipment right now. While I really had no desire to reload I thought it would at least let me have the ability to shoot. I was wrong. I'm not paying these prices.

Yard sale at Dave's place! 😃
I'm kicking around the idea. If I'm going to bail and sell all my guns other than SD guns, I might as well do it while I can hit home runs.

I keep telling myself it will be months, not years for supplies to come back. But every time we see light at the end of the tunnel; something else happens. With all the ammo we are sending to this war, its gotta be impacting availability here and I would guess the cause for the recent increase in primers.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I'm not implying we shouldn't be sending ammo there; we absolutely should be. But just like oil, I assume its impacting prices here.

Hunker down, don't buy, practice patience, save your coin. This will pass as did people lining up at 6:00 AM to pay inflated prices for 22 LR and then sell it on FB and elsewhere at hyper-inflated prices.

How long did that last, almost two years, yes?

For example.....9mm FMJ's 115 gr can now be purchased at retail for 10 cents each. Pre-pandemic price is under 8 cents each and in both old and new cases the volume is 1,000 rounds or more.

223 bullets are slowly returning to pre-pandemic levels.

150 grain Accubonds were available at Shooters Pro Shop just last week. Price was high......but available....first time in at least a year.

So, patience.

As a graduate of BHO school of don't be caught with your pants down, I concur, and being a hoarder helps. Feel sorry for those like Dave TN tho who would like to get going but are priced out of the market.
I've lived through the shortages also, and I'm pretty well stocked up on ammo. But I'm not shooting it if I can't replace it.

I did this also because I thought I might want to try CAS. With their gun and ammo requirements; now is not a good time to get into that either. ;)
