WTB...lighweight arrows

I'm trying out the Easton Flatlines out of my Prestige for both 3D and hunting this year. So far they fly great for me and I think they'll hold up well passing through a deer.

Carbon Express Maximas are excellent lightweight hunting arrows.

There is a trade off with lightweight , faster arrows , and that is durability . Most have a thinner wall that is weaker and subject to splitting .
Just make sure you don't void the manufacturer's warranty . Most bow companies have a minimum of 5 grains per pound of draw weight.

Carbon Tech "Cheetahs" are really light. No one carries them around here. You can order them from Lancaster. They are pretty good arrows. The way the carbon is wrapped, they have spin built into them.

I think going light might show you if your bow is in tune very good or not. I'm sure it's nice to be able to shoot one pin out to 40 yds., but it's also nice to get a pass-thru.

I really like the Speed Pro Max arrows from Carbon Revolution. They are 5.5 grains per inch. I've been shooting the same 1/2 dozen for 3 years now. I shot 3 deer with the same arrow last year with complete pass-thrus. I've had good luck with them.

I'm testing the Speed Pro Max @ 6.2 gpi . HCA will warranty below 5 gpp , so they are safe for my setup .

If it were me i wouldn't shoot a "light" arrow for hunting. I stick with gt xt hunters 5575. they've been good to me. I think they are 8.7 grns per inch. My hunting arrow usually winds up around 375 grn. Some would consider that to be light for a hunting arrow.
