When I first got drug onto this site many years ago, this was the only forum I visisted. Never even looked at the others, even the general one. Took about a year before I started looking around. Took three years to try and post a picture.

It was a lot easier after I got a computer.

Did TN Deer look like it does now back then?

How many separate forums were there?

I'm not sure how many separate forums , but many members spent most of the time on the General forum and the deer forum .

Not as many forums, don't know how many and can't remember if it looked much different or not. I still only go to three or four forums and there are many I have never even looked at. I do recall there was not nearly so much tech. talk. I guess there wasn't so much tech. Bout the only arguments were crossbows and mech. heads. Very little talk about speed or ke.

When Jeff Coggins talked me into coming on, I probably only visited two or three times a week, maybe not that. I was still on the road bigtime then and spent a lot of time in Canada and the Midwest bowhunting on through gun seasons.

I miss the early days of tndeer , the original members , the debates , the good posts , the bad , and everyone who made this place the best hunting forum on the Internet .
We were more like family . It's not the same anymore .

I don't know what it was like back then, but it is like family to me now, and is definitely the best hunting forum on the internet....

I have belonged to many different internet forums over the years for hunting, shooting, fishing, sports, politics, etc. and tndeer is without a doubt the friendliest, most family feeling forum that I've belonged to. I love this place and I live in Texas most of the year.

I don't see that it's changed a ton as far as site structure since I joined. Maybe it has, and the powers that be have made the changes that seamless. The content of posts has sure changed though. I don't have the most posts, but I sure do read a lot. :)

It has changed. Seems to me it has changed quite a bit. I'm not sure exactly when I started getting on here. Jeff just insisted I start posting. That was several years before he died. There was a huge arguement with dog hunters going on. So, we still had dog hunting for deer in TN. I know the buck limit was still 11.
