Cool morning it was. Got another bird. Nice longbeard around 9 inches. Interesting about this hunt was he never gobbled on the roost. Flew down and started yelping. I yelped...he would respond. 30 minutes he walks in to my decoy. Somewhat strange but not unual. Several other birds gobbling withing a 1/2 mile. Crappie fishin this afternoon.

I could be wrong, but I think it was not the dominate gobbler, since others were gobbling. Makes you wonder if he had been whopped, and was afraid to gobble and just come in silent or just yelpin to say i'm here, where are you?
