skipped class today for a day early b day present to myslef to go hunting. Walked around after a few hours of sitting, came back and as soon as i sit down i see two heads pop up in the field. call them in and they go right of my blind where i cant see them. i lean down sideways and aim through a foot wide hole between a fallen tree and my blind and nail him from 40 yrds. the coolest thing is its my uncles old gun who died when i was young and i just got it given to me by dad 2 days ago! i asked God to let me atleast see a bird no matter how bg t was so i could make my uncle proud as he looked down at me while i was using his gun and he blessed me greater than i can imagine! Pics below!!! just a jake but havent seen a tom yet and i had to take it!

Also forgot to mention the other Jake just stood there looking around for 10 mins til I had to run him off. If only you could take more than One in a day lol
 
I remember your post about your new gun. Congrats and what better way to honor your uncle. I have killed quite a few deer with my great grandpas old rifle.I know you are one proud fellar right now.
 
thanks guys! im still replaying the shot in my head. just can't get over how awesome it feels, first bird taken hunting by myself too, dad was pretty proud lol. i must say even though its the smallest bird ive got its the most memorable and meaningful.
