I went to get my bow Friday out of the case and the darn string had snapped in the case. The force broke the side of the case open. What in the world caused that? Age? It was several years old so maybe that is what happened. I tried to keep it waxed.

Could this have damaged the bow? I am going to take it to Eagle Wings Archery whenever I can catch them opened this week to get a new string and re-setup the bow.

there is a good chance it could have cracked the limbs. have it checked out real good.

When I sold bows, we would have one or 2 on the rack to break every year. since it was a few years old, there may have been a nick on the string you didnt notice.

if you are taking it to Eagle Wings, John will check it out for cracks.

How many times have you taken it out of the case ? Has it been left in a hot area such as a truck with the windows rolled up . Heat can ruin a string . I'm assuming the string had a few strands cut by something to do it in .
