just kind of curious if ther mite be an average size choke that turkey hunters go to when choose'n, seems ya hear a lot mention the .660 or .665 sizes often, most of mine are .660,.660 & a .643.

What'cha got ??

It's hard to really answer due to the fact that different gun manufactures have different bore diameters which makes a choke diameter different for each. Example is the benelli bore is .723 which is MUCH smaller then say a mossberg or invector barrel. Benellis usually like a tighter exit diameter in the 650-660 range where you definitely don't want to use that diameter in a mossberg.

Hopefully that makes sense. As a general term I'd say 665 is average among most guns but that doesn't say what your gun will like. She'll choice also will come into play

Rem 11-87 or 870sm.... .655, .660, .662, .665, .670, .672, .680 all depends on what shot size and density I am using.
