I mean Whisky Tango Foxtrot! A why would you take that stupid of a shot and B why would you then brag about it openly.

I have lost all faith in today's hunter at this point

I have hunted twice on a WMA this year and both times have seen a hunter throw a hail Mary shot out in a filed and miss. The first one was on juvenile a gentleman had his son shoot way too far and miss. Then walk out scratching their heads in shock he did not kill it. Then last Saturday I watched two guys shoot (twice) way too far out in a field and miss. I believe all this TSS and shooting long distances has people shooting farther than they should.

Nobody and I mean nobody can possibly miss at 80 yards.... Those turkeys are likely dead even though nobody will be able to pose with them on youtube or facebook.

That was a fairy bird and had a heart attack and died at the sound of gunfire. The shot didn't kill it. Seriously, 99% of jakes look more manly than that bird!

His shot isn't something you should really be bragging about. He better not post on Old Gobber Forum about that. They lose their minds on there if you shoot one over 40 yards. A lot of guys on there shoot TSS and still only shoot max 40 yards. I made a comment on there that I shoot Longbeard 3" 12 gauge, and can kill birds all day long at 40. I also said mine are a lot cheaper than TSS. :super: :super: :super:

I left that group. Literally couldn't mentally handle the massive googan fest. That with that idiot Randall Haley and I had enough.

I read the entire thread. literally cracked up reading the comments. The other post of the day that was revived in that post was the guy that drilled holes in his barrel to port it and drilled right through the rib. Swears competition shooters do it but remove the rib, but it didn't matter if he removed the rib or not. I don't know anything porting barrels, but reading that posts comments were hilarious as well.

The guy that shot the bird at 80 yds, said he counted 5 pellet holes in the birds head, so I think he just got lucky. there were quite a few comments about not knowing how to measure distance, so it may have been a lot closer than 80 yds.

80 yards. Hell I did good finding the head on a 60 yard shot patterning my gun. I couldn't imagine 80 yards. Dude is crazy... or full of it...

I saw that post and am guessing he started it just to stir the pot. Probably didn't shoot 80 but shot a Jake and thought it would get people fired up.

I'll be the first to admit I'm getting older and don't fully understand the motivations of the younger generation but this is another one that just flies straight over my head. This is the kind of thing folks do just to get noticed?

some people get a good laugh out of watching the sh*tshow of comments on social media when they post something controversial. It's called trolling. People will fall for it, and everyone's a tough guy behind a keyboard, so all kinds of crazy things are said. Can be pretty entertaining.

But there's also people dumb enough out there that he could be 100% serious about the 80 yard shot. It's hard to tell.
