What do most of you all buy brand wise when it comes to brass I have heard winchester is not the greatest at least as of recently. What is your experience with Remington I realize Norma,nosler, and Lapua will be pretty good.

For rifle brass I prefer Winchester, with the next being Remington, but I have not used the higher end stuff like Nosler or Norma.

For pistol and 45/70 brass I prefer Starline, hands down.

When buying new brass I tend to buy Remington. The 1 bag of new Winchester brass I bought all had loose primer pockets which instantly turned me against them. I have some Norma brass for 270 WSM but I haven't used any of it yet.

I bought a bag of Winchester 223 and it was atrocious, I'll never buy any more.

I bought a box of lapua 260 and they look good but haven't messed with them yet. I caught them on sale so they were about the same as Remington per 100. I try to buy Remington when I can find it

I use Federal or Lapua. I pick up the Federal from a Police range, but I have to pay for the .243 Lapua brass. I have used Winchester and Remington but I prefer the Federal brass when reloading .223.

I use what I have on hand.

.222 Rem= Remington
.223= any and everything. Rem, Win, LC, Federal, Hornady
.243= Winchester
264 Win Mag= Remington
270 WSM= Remington
30-06= Winchester
.308= Federal
.358 Win= Winchester

Remington is first choice

Tried Hornady, not something I would recommend.

Tried Prvi and that does seem to be okay.

223. I get anything I can.

I prefer Winchester brass. I've never used any of the high dollar brass. I have some Winchester, remington, federal, hornady, military brass, and bha. The only thing I do is not mix my brass from box to box.

I prefer Hornady brass for 270, 30-06, and 308. Winchester brass for WIZZUM's. When it comes down to it, all of the brass that I've ever used seems to all shoot within 1 inch anyways. If I was a target shooter for competition, I would care about a half MOA of accuracy. But for my hunting purposes, they are all basically the same.
