Says here it will go down to 43 Friday night and come up to 63 on Saturday will full sunny blue skies. Says wind N 10mph, which doesn't sound too bad if it doesn't blow any harder.

It may be a bit cooler, but those temps don't sound too out of line for early season to me.

What do y'all think the birds will be like for opening morning?

I'm guessing I'll hear at least a handful of gobbles on the roost, and hopefully a bird that wants to come looking. Won't get my hopes up though because it is a cold front. But the sunny skies are a big plus.

I thought the same thing. I have a camera in a hardwood stand on my property that is torn up. Last Saturday they were in there (2 toms and 9 hens). I figured the cold would have shut them down, but i was wrong.

My thoughts are if he gobbles, I'll be on his heels ASAP Saturday morning. I'll be with my up and coming turkey hunter celebrating Easter on Sunday morning. Best of luck to all that get after them.

The temps seem normal for early season. I just hope the wind prediction is right it says 10mph north wind and doesn't turn out to be 25mph. Regardless I'll be out their trying.

Hunt just about everything

The guy I was guiding had 2 on the ground at 6:44 last Saturday and it was 23 degrees when we left the truck.... I'll take a good calm, still, cold, morning any day.........This weekend weather looks great to me!! As long as the wind stays down. When turkey hunting, "The wind is not your friend."

Looks like she's going to be a hunter.
I have two girls that seem interested in hunting until that alarm goes off in the morning. [emoji3]

Cold and rain dont really care.
I will hunt in anything except tornado warnings.
As long as it isn't windy, cloudy, and cold all at the same time im fine.
Nothing I hate more in April than a February type windy, gloomy day.

As long as the wind isn't too bad, I hope to have one on the ground pretty early. My goal is to make it happen in my first spot and not have to move around too much.

I have seen them gobble and strut in the snow. Sure hard to kill em without being in the woods.
