youth bow

The Diamond Atomic would be a good choice. It is adjustable from 12-24" draw and 6-29lbs of draw weight. Bass Pro has them for $199 ready to shoot. You do not need a press to make adjustments. Got my 7 year old nephew one for Christmas and he loves it and will be shooting it for years to come.

The ATomic is the #1 option unless you think he can hold a little more physical weight. The new Diamond Infinate Edge will adjust like 17-30" and 5-70#'s. For $349.99 you may not have to get him another bow until he wants to fork the money for his own.

I'll have to look at those this weekend someone told me to try the mission craze.

Unless your child has superior strength for his age and super long arms, the Craze will be too much bow for him. The minimum draw length for the Craze is 19" and the least draw weight is 15lbs. Starting anyone, regardless of age, out with the right fitting equipment so that proper form can be established is the key to establishing a lifetime full of fun and success.

Bear makes a pretty cool youth wide range of draw length and pull weight. Apprentice I believe.
the apprentice is pretty heavy . It might be a little to heavy for him to hold up right now .

Got my 5yr old son a Diamond Infinate edge a couple months ago and it does exactly what it says it will do. Already had to lengthen his draw length ( took about 5 min. ) and he is holding 18 lbs by himself. Just my opinion, but fot a youngster still growing, I don't think it can be beat right now.
