youth tom limit

They can only kill 1 on the juvenile and it counts towards their 4 bird limit. They can kill the other 3 during the rest of the regular season. My son tagged out when he was 10 and 12.

I think youths should be able to kill a turkey each day! I don't understand why adults can but they limit the youths to only one bird on the youth weekend? It use to be the same way on the deer hunts but they changed it to one buck per day! It's time the did the youth turkey hunt the same way! These kids are the future of hunting!

I'd be fine with that myself. Give the youth hunters as much opportunity as possible without hurting the resource.

It's probably to keep "daddy" from getting an early start to the season!

BTW, there is nothing that prevents them from going during the regular season. With school, etc, it would be hard for most to go other than the weekend anyway.
