Anybody taking a kid this weekend? Taking my son in the morning if he'll get out of bed. Last year he didn't so we'll see. He's 14 and hasn't killed one since his first when he was 8. He prefers deer hunting so not sure he's really my kid. :o Last year he didn't go one time. If he bails in the morning I may get up and go listen anyway. Good luck to all those that have a kid out there.

:D Yea, that keeps my daughter from going, also. She killed one when she was 10. 13 now. Her older sisters all did the same thing.

BTW, even though my dad turkey hunted while I was growing up, I only went with him once. I didn't get it.

It wasn't until I was about finished with college that I got into it. So, don't lose hope. He'll come around.

I'm carrying two of my boys in the morning. My oldest boy it will be his last juvenile turkey hunt and carrying my 9 year old on his first juvenile hunt. We roosted a couple gobblers this evening so they are both jacked up! Good luck to all this weekend!

I'm still down in my back but not as bad as I was. I'm still gonna try to take my 9 yo in the morning. We're just gonna take it easy as I can't get around like normal. Hope to find an easy one that's close, but we plan to be out there with a chance.

Good luck to all going in the morning!

Been waiting for this day for quite a while. Just hope it's in the cards for my boy to get his first. Wind gonna be blowing a little harder than I'd like but we're gonna try.

This will be my sons last juvenile hunt weekend. Good luck to all the youths. Hope you all get a chance at a Big Ol Tom.

Mines 9 but I usually don't take him this weekend cause I can take him all year. I am taking a different kid this morning that normally wouldn't be able to go. We will see what happens

Gobbling here shut off as soon as they hit the ground.
Wind has beaten the tail fan on our deke to snot.
Hoping rain will get them in the fields in a bit.

We came close. Saw approx 75 total birds and had 5 toms within 40yds but they were on the wrong side of us

We had him in range but was too thick to shoot. Her hands were shaking and she was tore up but didn't shoot. She looked over at me and said "don't have a clear shot". When I was that age I would have got tunnel vision and never saw the brush
