ive always shot a long axle to axle bow like the conquest they are very forgiving. just wondering if anyone has shot the z7 mag and are they pretty forgiving? cant make up my mind on what i want.

I bought the Magnum and I think it is going to be a very good hunting bow. I've not got it home yet; just been shooting it at the shop as I pay more on it but I generally favor bows in the 34 to 36 inch A-A range myself. The Mag is one of the shortest A-A bows I've bought. I didn't like the Z7 when I shot it, and for sure didn't like the Z7Extreme. I loved the eZ7 and the Mag...which are the exact same bow the only difference is the bottom cam.

Even though the Magnums have a shorter brace height, the extra axle to axle length seems to make the forgivness issue a wash. Feedback we've gotten so far has been VERY good. Never hurts to have another 10 IBO fps either (we found it to actually be 14 fps compared to the Extreme with the same setup). Great hybrid 3D / Hunting bow, plus the new Z Series cam costs have dropped $25 so making draw length adjustments doesn't hurt quite so bad. Ship times are still fairly long, so if you're thinking about getting one you need to call your local shop and get on their list. Hope that helps..

shot the z7 out to 50yds and loved it. went to benton shooters supply and got to shot a z7 mag only at 20 yds so i couldnt really tale how forgiving it was but it felt good. now i just got to talk myself into turning loose of the money. lol
Picked my mag up saturday. It is by far the quietest speed bow i have shot. But i think i jumped the gun. Got to shoot the 2011 MR5 monster and was impressed. am afraid to shoot the MR6 cause i cant afford another bow lol.

Mathews catch us if you can!!!!!!!!!! Any bow Mathews makes is great! I have never owned a bad Mathews over the past 9 years!
Ended up selling my Mag yesterday. Two reasons: couldnt shake how good those MR series Mathews felt and I jumped the gun getting it out of layaway and found myself with more bit off than i could chew. So i am ordering a MR6 with black riser camo limbs.
Here is a group at 8o yards I shot with my Mag...I love it.
