I HAVE SHOT HOYT FOR YEARS NOW AND STILL LOVE THE BOWS BUT I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE NEW Z7 HAS GOT ME INTERESTED,THE ONLY DRAW BACK FOR ME IS IT SHORTER THAN I LIKE , I BOW HUNT IN ILLINOIS AND COULD EASILY HAVE A 50 YARD SHOT AT ANYTIME. HOW DOES IT GROUP OUT AT THOSE DISTANCES FOR THOSE WHO HAVE THEM. I HAVE SHOT BOTH OF THEM BUT STILL UNDECIDED, BOTH ARE SOLID BOWS THE 7 GETS THE EDGE IN DRAWING AND SILENT , ANY HELP APPRECIATED

my buddie at work bought the Z7 and killed a turkey with it this year and he loves that thing more than anything , he would sleep with it if his wife would let him

he shoots it really well at 50yds, we get together and shoot often but that's him and everyone is different

Ryan switched to a Z7 and loves it.He is shooting out to 80 yards 1 1/2" groups .with copper john ANTS EVO II , extreme scope 4x power ,QAD drop away and easton excell 400's at 60# 28.5 ".you can buy the spott hogg adjustable sights or HHA slider and get to 60 easy. it is smooth , quiet, and consistent. He thought the Hoyt was too heavy but seemed good in all other aspects but honestly can't comment on it.Shoot both with eyes closed and see what feels the best..then take the 1 that felt the best and see how accurate you are with it.for some people length is nothing .look at brace height for forgiveness , the grips are totally different on both .look at other bows as well , there are other bows out there that are not the big 3 that feel better , shoot just as well with 1/2 the cost.resale is not as good but with the savings you can update yearly .

I know to pick the one that fits me the best but I honestly cant tell much difference between the two, both are awesome bows.I typically like a 35 inch bow but I like the z7. I have shot Hoyt for years and currently shooting a vectrix which I like just time for a new one, thanks for all the help any more info appreciated

thanks for all the help guys, I went back and shot both of them today , I am going with the Maxxis 35 . I did like the Z7 and think its a very smooth outfit but just to short for me.

I shot a Z7 Saturday morning, and I'll tell ya first hand. It's nice and quiet, feels good and solid. But it doesn't draw as smooth as my Bowtech.
