Has anyone tried the Double Impact 2 3/4" shells for turkey or just patterned them? I sell sporting goods and a fellow brought me some to try, said the company claims they have a 30 yard and out to 100 yard range with 4's or 5 shot. I personally wouldn't even want to shoot at a turkey at 100 yards, takes the fun out of it,but being in the business I was just curious.

I thought I knew something about turkey loads, but I've never heard of that one before. Looks like it was made for waterfowl:

I'm very skeptical about a 100 yard range with this shell. Wonder what material the shot is made from? If it is tungsten, they might be very good shells. I do think it would be possible to develop a 100 yd turkey load from Tungsten Super Shot, but like you said, what would be the point?

Can you tell us what it says on the box about the shot?

Edit: Never mind, I searched a little more and found some at the Sportsmans Guide:

They are made of lead, and wouldn't even be legal for waterfowl in the USA. No way in the world they could provide a killing pattern on a turkey at 100 yds.
