I mount my first red dot on my turkey gun. Vortex venom- was wondering if field load would impact similar to turkey load.?Plan to proveout with turkey load just want save some money and shoulder if possible.

Yes, it's best to zero with dove loads at 15/20 yds then swap to turkey loads for fine tuning.

Same here, and I even fine tune it at about 30-35 with cheap turkey loads, and hopefully everything is ok enough and I'll fire one expensive shell through it.

I sight mine in with a dove load 10 to 15 yds . bulls eye will look like a slug went thru it. My wading was in the bulls eye. Thats all I have ever done. I have shot a turkey load a few times at 40, but didnt have to adjust nothing. I check zero each yr with dove load before season .
