I'm a big proponent for custom made calls, but I must say I'm very impressed with Zink's Thunder Ridge Series. I have the slate and aluminum and both are full of turkey. Each call is very consistent and easy to use. I love the molded pot with the rubber grip and striker conditioner.

The slate can play soft and loud due to its aluminum soundboard. The yelp very clear on the front end and rolls over into a nice medium rasp on the end.

The aluminum is downright nasty. This call will undoubtedly reach out there on those windy days. The yelps are high-volume and full of rasp.

Best of all, they are reasonably priced at $30. I still love my custom calls, but I can guarantee you both of these will be in my vest this spring.

Its like a crazed addiction we have with calls.. lol
I sold maybe 20 different calls a month ago, and have replaced them already :) Couple from you String. We need to start a swap thread for calls...hehehe

yeah a swap thread would be a good thing. I ended up boxing up everything i was not using a few years ago and found a family to send it to that otherwise could not afford to get their kids into the woods.

All we need to do is PM the man and get him to set it up for us.... maybe put it under the classified forum in it's own forum in case there were other things to be traded.... hunting equipment, clothing, stands, or whatever....
