College football - Our most memorable moments from September - Sports Illustrated
It’s time to look at all that has transpired in college football so far—to laud the winners, lambaste the losers and figure out how we got here.

He two highest yardage games was against Pitt and UF. His #s against UF was off the charts. 2ed QB in UT history with numbers like that against any opponent. While he was banged up without his #1 target.First off I am for Tennessee in every game played. Yes, Hooker is far better than any recent Tennessee QB. Yes, he has put up some impressive numbers. In my opinion these numbers were were achieved playing some light competition.
Take Akron for example..........Hooker lit them up. They sat Hooker down and put in Milton. Milton was dropping in perfect passes and looked like a Heisman candidate himself with two quick TD's. Then they put in Jackson at QB and he takes them down the field and scores a TD. To me it was a really good UT team playing a team in Akron that wouldn't even make UT's practice squad.
When UT played Pitt and Florida those numbers were not nearly as impressive. I hope he does continue to have a great season and wins it all. I just think UT is rated too high at #8 and Hooker is is getting hype he is not ready to handle.
National offensive player of the week against Florida. Good enough for meWhen UT played Pitt and Florida those numbers were not nearly as impressive. I hope he does continue to have a great season and wins it all. I just think UT is rated too high at #8 and Hooker is is getting hype he is not ready to handle.
I'm as big of a Vols fan as the necks guy, but to win SEC championship or National Championship, you will have to win 12 games. Not sure the Vols can beat Georgia.Who needs the Heisman when you win Sec Championship and National Championship. VOLS for the win!!!!
Shoot….that's good as done. VOLS beat Georgia by 17I'm as big of a Vols fan as the necks guy, but to win SEC championship or National Championship, you will have to win 12 games. Not sure the Vols can beat Georgia.
I hope you are right but I wouldn't bet the farm on itShoot….that's good as done. VOLS beat Georgia by 17
We'll have to put @tree_ghost in a padded room but I think he'll be alright after we win the National championshipShoot….that's good as done. VOLS beat Georgia by 17
Good think I don't have one to bet lolI hope you are right but I wouldn't bet the farm on it
Hooker completed 79% of his passes against Florida for 349 yards and ran for 116. 79% against an SEC defense.First off I am for Tennessee in every game played. It will be the best defense Tennessee has faced so far. But LSU may have the worst o-line in the league.LSU scored 24 against FSU, and 31 against MS state.
I believe Hooker and the vols can put up more points then that, with 2 weeks to prepare. LSUs Defense is no joke. And the VolS D will give up a ton. So gonna be another nail bitting shootout. Hooker will have another chance to put the team on his back like he did against UF
Yeah his decent also has taken care of the ball 0 picks 6Tds.I was shocked to read that LSU's qb Daniel's is top 15 qb in "overall qbr" (I think that was what it was called (could be stating it wrong)
He holds the ball a long time so hopefully we can get plenty of pressure
