Most Amazing opening day I've ever had. I don't know what's different but maybe TWRA are not idiots. I've had 7 longbeards inside 30 yards and seen 4 die. Unreal. I look like a calling whiz. Just wow. God is good!

Absolute death day for birds statewide. Crappy weather for a week and a perfect opener.

What a day! The delay puts season opening right when birds are most susceptible to the call for sure.
Hunting experience is better, but what really matters is all the birds you killed were after the bulk of hens were bred.

As we were in the study area, this is the 4th year for delay. Each year has gotten better than the previous. We killed 6 off the place yesterday.
Today was just as good. I stand corrected. My wife and I are both done. We will never top these 2 days.

Not judging, but isnt 6 off one farm a little much??? Unless its 2000 acres or something, theres no way on God's green Earth I would take 6 off any one piece of property!

3500 acres & have averaged 12-15 a year for over 20 yrs. Morning before Juvi I listened at 13 different spots spread out over property & heard multiple birds from each, we are not hurting them

I've seen tons of jakes and more longbeards than in years, heard plenty of gobbling too! Ain't ready to say it's like the old days but it's much better.
