Velvet hunt regs

If I am not mistaken, the velvet hunt is private land only correct? I had a conversation with a colleague about this and he was convinced that it was also public land as well. I told him I thought that was not right. Therefore, I'm here consulting the TN deer community

Private and "select WMAs". Wasn't aware there were WMAs open for the August hunt.

Unless something changed, my understanding is that it is private lands only.
