There is a lake somewhere around Belize that was flooded in same manner and is full of all kinds of sharks, even hammerheads thriving and breeding. On the flight to Costa Rica when you are lowering altitude, you can see it and the pilot explained it all. Pretty cool.BamaProud":3iwz14dd said:It isn't uncommon at all for tiger sharks to be close to shore. Bull Sharks will even swim up rivers into fresh water.
In 1955, there was a report of a bull-shark sighting all the way up the Mississippi River near Chicago, Illinois.
About 6-8 years ago a Golfcorse Lake in Australia got flooded by the Ocean during a storm along with a bunch of Bull Sharks they have been in the lake thriving...even breeding.
